MWS-ST/SR-11 type microwave sensor is a level switch which consists of a transmitter (MWS-ST) and a receiver (MWS-SR), installed face to face.
The transmitter emits a continuous, low power microwave beam towards the receiver and an output relay is released when the beam is obstructed.
The sensor has wide application across all areas of industry where highly reliable, non-contact level detection is required. The sensor is generally used for process control by monitoring presence/absence of product, flow/no flow conditions and poing level detection in bins and silos. The sensor may also be used as a proximity switch for detection of vehicles such as dump trucks and rail cars.

Non-contact, noninvasive & non-intrusive

All WADECO's Microwave Level Sensors are non-contact, which means longer life span.

Noninvasive mounting is possible by installing detecting windows on either side of the vessel. The windows should be made of a nonconductive material, such as glass, ceramic or plastic, through which microwaves easily pass.

Sensors may be fitted with a variety of standard flanges, waveguide extensions, stainless steel sensing heads and other accessories to allow for use in high temperature/high pressure and other such adverse environments.

Compact, portable, simple to install & operate

Transmitter and receiver operate independent of each other with built-in amplifiers, thus eliminating the need to connect the transmitter and receiver to a separate controller.
